Description

This product is designed to protect car bodies from gasoline, oil, water and salt. It creates a strong and flexible layer resistant to stone hits. It also has soundproof properties. The product is based on synthetic resin. It does not contain asphalt and bitumen. It may be over coated with any acrylic lacquer.

Substrates

The product has very good adhesion to various surfaces. It can be applied over:

  • polyester laminates
  • polyester putties
  • epoxy primers
  • 2K acrylic primers
  • steel substrates
  • aluminium substrates.
  • stainless steel substrates.
  • zinc coated substrates.
  • wash primers.
  • plastics

It is recommended to bake plastic panels at 50oC which helps to remove silicone from the surface. Good preparation of the surface guarantees to obtain better results of body car repair.

Application process

  • Surface preparation
    • Polyester laminates: should be degreased, dry sanded (P80-P120) and degreased again.
    • Polyester putties: should be dry sanded (P120).
    • Primers: should be degreased, dry sanded (P220-P280) and degreased again.
    • Steel surfaces: should be degreased, dry sanded (P80-P120) and degreased again.
    • Stainless steel: should be degreased.
    • Aluminium and zinc surfaces: should be degreased, dulled with the abrasive cloth and degreased again.
    • Old coats: should be degreased, dry sanded (P220-P280) and degreased again.
    • Plastic surfaces: should be washed with detergent, dulled with abrasive cloth and degreased.

    It is recommended to bake plastic panels at 50oC which helps to remove silicone from the surface.

    Spray gun parameters:
    Nozzle 4mm; pressure 2-4 bars.

    Evaporation time depends on the temperature and the number of layers.

    Depending on the layer thickness:

    • at 20°C – 40÷60 minutes

    Temperature below 20°C significantly increases the hardening time.
