Description

Polyester putty with high elasticity, great adhesion and mechanical resistance. Especilly dedicated for the repair of plastic elements of the car body subject to vibrations.

Advantages

Very good adhesion to plastic.
Exceptional flexibility.
Good sanding properties.
Very smooth surface after application and sanding.

Substrates

The product has very good adhesion to all outer plastic panels (PP, EPDM, ABS, PC, PPO, PA, RTPU, PBTP, PVC, PUR, PUR soft foam, UP-GF).

Before applying, the surface should be cleaned well with an abrasive needled cloth and degreased with detergent and water (do not use benzene based removers as they can dissolve the surface). Wash again using water and detergent, rinse with pure water and dry with air.

Caution: Do not apply the putty directly on the reactive primers, 1K acrylic and nitrocellulose products.

Use
Flexible polyester putty for the repair of plastic elements of the car body.

Mixing ratio per weight
Body filler: 100
Hardener: 2
Stir thoroughly until a homogenous paste is achieved. Be careful not to create air inclusions.

Layer thickness
Body filler can be applied in several thin layers. Before applying each new coat wait until the latter has fully dried. Do not exceed a total thickness of 3 mm.
Pot life 3÷5 min. at 20°C

Drying time
25÷35 min. at 20°C.
Temperatures below 20°C significantly increase the drying time.

Sanding
Coarse sanding (dry): P80÷P120.
Final sanding (dry): P120÷P180.

Further work
Polyester body fillers can over coated with:
- 2K acrylic primers,
- 2K epoxy primers.
It is recommended to apply 1K Plastic Primer before applying the plastic putty.

General thoughts
- Excessive amounts of hardener may cause problems with bleaching of the topcoat!
- While working with 2K products use adequate personal protection equipment. Protect the eyes and air ways.
- The rooms should be well ventilated.
- Tools should be washed directly after application.
