Wash Primer 2:1

Use

As an anti-corrosion primer for the repair of commercial vehicles, means of transport, agricultural machinery and steel structures.

Mixing ratio by volume

Primer: 2
Activator: 1
The primer does not require thinner!

The primer is ready to apply after 10÷15 minutes from mixing with activator!

Spraying viscosity

18÷20 seconds at 20°C

Pot life

Approx. 48 hours at 20°C

Number of layers

1-2 layers
RP gun parameters:
Nozzle: 1,2÷1,4 mm; ; Pressure of input: 2,0-2,2 bars.
HVLP gun parameters:
Nozzle: 1,3÷1,4 mm; Inlet pressure: 2,0 bars.

Evaporation time

between layers: approx.10 minutes
before coating: approx. 20÷30 minutes

Evaporation time depends on the temperature and the number of layers.

Sanding

Doesn’t require sanding.

Further work

Spec 2K wash primer can be directly over coated with following Troton products:

• 2K acrylic primers.
• Anti-gravels.

Caution: Do not apply polyester putties, acrylic topcoats directly on Wash Primers!

General notes

• Do not exceed recommended doses of the hardener!
• The best repair results can be achieved at room temperature. The temperature in the body shop and the temperature of the product should be similar.
• When working with 2K products, it is recommended to use personal protection equipment. Protect the eyes and respiratory system.
• The rooms should be well ventilated.
• Clean the guns and equipment immediately after use.
